Premium Tax Returns
Premium Tax Returns
Wings Plus Premium Tax puts all tax and annual statement data in the same database, making tax-form data and annual-statement data one and the same. It links tax returns directly to the source annual statement, so form fields in tax forms automatically update and populate. When a field in the annual statement state page changes, the change automatically appears in the corresponding field in the related tax return. Premium Tax overrides data elements, adds cell comments to any field, and traces individual premium tax fields to their origins in the annual statement, automating reconciliation of return and annual statement data.
Premium Tax allows returns to be saved as Excel workbooks, completed in Excel, and read back in. It links data from all other contributing subsystems. It displays returns in final format PDFs, along with the work papers that populate them. It permits data to be input directly into the PDF — or into the work papers — then reflects the data in both places. It includes municipal taxes as an embedded extension of the premium tax return, enabling real-time data flow from municipal tax forms to the premium tax return. It provides the ability to override data elements; to add cell comments to any field; to trace individual premium tax fields to their origins in the annual statement; and to include the appropriate forms from state DOI websites — overlaying data entry, formulas, and linked cells — ensuring acceptance and eliminating the need for state approvals.
Transparent and Secure
All activity in Premium Tax is logged to ensure auditability and accountability. Its multi-layer security design allows administrators to manage the preparation process tightly, even down to locking data on a form once it's completed. It reconciles return data in real time against annual statement data, auditing and reporting incomplete return data. In addition, Wings Plus Premium Tax includes guaranty fund assessment work papers to calculate the amortization of GFA payments. Yearly credit amounts flow to their respective returns. Management reports, GFA summary reports, estimated payment computations, and check requests help monitor and streamline preparation processes.
