NAUPA Selects ETM To Provide Unclaimed Property Reporting System
Will be available, at no charge, to NAUPA members for 2010 deadlines.
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA — (April 13, 2010) — The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators (NAUPA)
has selected ETM to be its exclusive provider of holder-reporting software. ETM will offer the software
to NAUPA members and their holders at no charge and will provide ongoing product training and customer
support. The software will be available for this fall’s reporting deadlines.
"We conducted a rigorous national search," said John Gabriel, president of NAUPA. "Our RFP had stringent
requirements. Our search committee was demanding. But ETM met every one of our criteria and then some.
Our commitment to giving thousands of holders of unclaimed property a system, at no charge, for
reporting, simplified administration, regulatory compliance, and standardized formatting will continue."
ETM’s unclaimed property system was required to:
- Meet the electronic reporting needs of all state agencies responsible for unclaimed property law administration
- Conform to the most recent NAUPA Standard Electronic File Format (NAUPA II)
- Ensure required fields are populated with appropriate numbers/types of characters
- Import Excel spreadsheets
- Print the file in a legible format
- Export the file in .CSV format
- Allow free-form entry for non-US address fields.
"This is a gratifying endorsement of our capabilities," said Larry Kane, ETM's president. "NAUPA challenged us to meet
its uncompromising commitment to its members. And they demonstrated their faith in us with this agreement.
We're as grateful as we are pleased."
